What to Expect at Your Illusion Knot Method℠ Appointment

Every Illusion Knot install follows the same five steps, so you always know what comes next. Clients travel from anywhere to the private studio at 5759 Pacific Ave, Suite B145, Stockton, CA 95207.

Step 1. Free photo check

Send 3 photos of your natural hair: front, back and a close up of your length, through the photo check. You hear back within 24 hours. Your natural hair needs to be at least 4 inches long, and longer is best.

Step 2. Buy your hair

Choose your 9D micro feather hair in the online shop. Most installs use 2 bundles, and 3 for maximum fullness. Hair is held at the studio for install day, with no shipping, and hair sales are final.

Step 3. Book your date

A $300 non refundable retainer holds your date and goes toward your install. The balance is due at your appointment in cash or Zelle only.

Reschedule with at least 48 hours notice and your retainer moves to your new date. With less notice, or a no call, no show, the retainer is forfeited.

Step 4. Install day

Arrive detangled and dry. A $50 detangling service applies if hair arrives tangled, and a $35 late fee applies after the grace period. Plan for about 6 hours for a Founding Client install, or about 8 hours for a Model install, which includes photos, video and a review. The studio books one client a day.

Step 5. Aftercare and your refresh

You receive your aftercare guide after your install. Every install includes one complimentary refresh: shampoo, condition and silk press. After that, book an Illusion Knot Maintenance Refresh for $260.

Typical wear is 3 to 4 months with maintenance. There are no move ups; timing follows your own hair.
