Hand Tied Feather Extensions vs Beads, K Tips and Tape Ins

Every extension method adds length and fullness. What separates them is what happens at the root, where the extension meets your natural hair.
Beaded Micro Links
Small beads are clamped around a section of your hair and the extension. No glue is used, but the beads can show in the wind or when your hair is pulled up.
K Tip Bonds
Keratin bonds are fused to your hair with heat. They are strong, but they rely on glue and heat at the root, and they need rebonding to reuse the hair.
Tape Ins
Panels of hair are sandwiched with adhesive tape. They install quickly, but panels can show in updos and need retaping.
The Illusion Knot Method℠
Each piece of micro feather hair is tied to your natural hair by hand. There are no beads, no glue, no heat and no braids. The knots are designed to disappear, so you can wear your hair up, and your raw hair can be reused at your next reinstall.
| Method | Glue or heat | What shows at the root |
|---|---|---|
| Illusion Knot Method | None | Invisible knots |
| Beaded micro links | None | Beads can show |
